Regional Manager - North Sydney

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Regional Manager responsible for the strategic and operational management of our people, services and business development activities. Based in Sydney, this role is responsible for the Sydney, Newcastle & Brisbane offices.

In this role you will:

  • contribute to the delivery of exceptional value to members and clients, drive revenue performance and work with key stakeholders to achieve business strategies;
  • manage client accounts as the key relationship manager;
  • lead a team of high performers that consolidates Ai Group’s positioning as a leading provider of workplace legal and consulting services;
  • work closely with the Regional Manager (Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth) and Head of Legal & Consulting to provide leadership, developing talent, performance management and undertaking recruitment across the Workplace Relations Legal & Consulting team;
  • have strong commercial acumen and expertise in all aspects of financial management including profit & loss, developing revenue streams and monitoring expenditure;
  • demonstrate gravitas and the ability to generate new business and foster innovation;
  • assist in the delivery and project management of key operational projects;
  • role model and drive Ai Group’s vision, purpose and values.

About you:

Ideally, you will have:

  1. demonstrated experience operating in a leadership role in legal practice/consulting practice or similar;
  2. experience or an interest in workplace relations;
  3. a current practising certificate;
  4. a good understanding of the drivers of consulting services;
  5. demonstrable people management skills and experience;
  6. an approachable and collaborative leadership style;
  7. a strong interest and skill set in contemporary marketing and business operations.

Legal Principal - North Sydney, Melbourne

Due to organic growth and successful expansion, we are seeking three senior legal practitioners to join our team. (Two positions are located in North Sydney and one in Melbourne).

In this role you will:

  • provide leadership and collaborate with a team that prides itself on providing legal and consulting services of the highest calibre;
  • have a high degree of client interaction, including advising some of Australia’s largest businesses;
  • advise on a wide range of employment and industrial relations matters, disputes and claims, work health and safety issues, enterprise bargaining, grievances, bullying and discrimination;
  • confidently and independently appear in FW, Court and Tribunal matters;
  • provide advice and support to Ai Group’s Workplace Advice Services;
  • manage, coach and mentor a team of talented workplace relations lawyers;
  • operate strategically to grow Ai Group’s businesses;
  • be accountable for the achievement of financial targets; and
  • role model and drive Ai Group’s vision, purpose and values.

About you:

Ideally, you will have:

  1. a minimum of 10-15+ years’ workplace relations experience gained in a prominent mid or top tier law firm, in-house employer/employee organisation or legal professional services practice
  2. a current practising certificate
  3. effective delegation and stakeholder management experience
  4. well developed advocacy and negotiation skills
  5. exceptional analytical and writing skills
  6. demonstrable people management skills
  7. an approachable and collaborative leadership style
